Epiphone Dot Studio Electric Guitar

Epiphone Dot Studio Electric GuitarThe remarkably affordable Dot Archtop Studio Electric features 2 vintage alnico pickups, all black hardware, and a rosewood fingerboard.

Feature:
This guitar feels great, looks pretty cool with the Black Hardware and pickups, and sounds great with only one tone and volume switch, it’s so easy to use and set up. simple and fun.

Quality:
It was made well. It has one volume knob and one tone knob its nice and simple. The sound is fantastic and unbelievable with the low price. Not a blemish. The frets are good but not polished. The frets are smooth on the edges, none sharp or sticking out at all. The neck is straight. No jack problem, no switch problem, no intonation problems, no wires in the f-holes, frets were very good, the tuners rock solid. could deliver an electric and acoustic quality.

Sound:
This guitar has great sustain, great midrange tone and big balls in either neck or bridge pickup for solos. This guitar sounds better than the faded Gibson SG and its a lot cheaper. It sounds amazing with a crate amp. It clean through a 20W drive amp to practice at home. The sustain is all day long. The tome is really fat. Any sound you want is in there. More experienced sound. Perfect for any type of music.

Ease of Use:
With only 2 knobs and a switch its very smooth shifting the gears on this Dot Studio, the neck is fast and feels so good in your hand, its hard to put her away. Mine weighs about 8 pounds and that’s acceptable. The action is at 1/16 inch at the twelfth fret. The intonation was off, but there was plenty of room for correction. No problems with this guitar. No buzzing or ringing. Just plain music for everything. The ease is very “easy.” nothing too hard for anybody.

Value:
The sound is right on but the guitar is drab appearing, no flash. Super value though. It has all the things the BIG GUY has so of course it will sound like it. All maple body and neck and alnico humbucks and the sound is there. Your not gonna find a guitar this fine for so little. Again, For the money you get a good, reliable guitar and with a couple upgrades, it will give a Gibson a run for its money for a fraction of the outrageous money Gibson charges for their guitars. Desirability:
It sounds like the Gibson Lucille and it plays great, great action and it’s lighter in weight than Lucille. It’s very sweet. Yes very good. The black hardware matches up greatly with my “worn cherry” color. It gives it a kind of “hey! Unfortunately not all Dot Studios are of this quality. For comparison I played a handful of real dogs. But then again, I also played a few Gibson’s that were nowhere near as good as they should have been. For the trouble of playing a bunch you might find one that totally jives with what you want and need in a guitar. If you’re a beginner, nothing is lacking.

Overall:
You expect to be satisfied for a very long time. No complaints.. This is what you went looking for and You found it. A guitar that played the blues so easy it just pours out of it. No muss, no fuss it’s easy to get that great sound, you didn’t fiddle around searching for it. It sounds like Lucille and anyone can afford it.

It features a double cutaway body, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets, 3 single-coil pickups, 5-way switching, master volume and tone controls, single-ply white pickguard, and a 6-saddle hard-tail bridge.

Performance and value – that’s what Squier is all about. By combining time-tested Fender designs, quality materials, and attention to detail, they have developed a family of affordable guitars, basses, and practice amps unequalled in their class. And for optimum performance, every Squier instrument comes factory-equipped with genuine Fender strings.

Feature:
Has all the features of a regular strat. The features of this guitar are the same as full size guitars. No changes are necessary. Standard strat pickup selection switch. really like that configuration. 3 pickups (very nice output, crystal clean), nice switch, good intonation at each positions. Great finish, I can’t believe it cost $99.

Quality:
Even though this guitar is under 100 dollars, it is of high quality. Really was surprised. Took it out of the box, tuned it and played it. A lot of bang for the buck.
It feels pretty good, but obviously not as good as other standard strats. The great sound keeps on flowing.

Sound:
The sound quality of this guitar is very good. It sounds as good as full size guitars although with amp or not.  You could play any style of music on it and it would sound great.
Otherwise , the someone gave out his opinion are his use a peavey amp with and the amp isn’t all that good. All of his friends that also play guitar and that have used it say that its not that good of a sound and that its too small and that the neck positioning of the guitar is not that well for when you play.

Ease of Use:
This guitar is easy to play after you get used to the smaller fret spacing and the strings are a little closer together. This guitar is really made for smaller hands, i.e. children, but it is not a toy. So if you have big fingers you may have trouble playing this guitar. For adults, this is a good guitar to fool around with watching TV, sitting at your desk at work, or riding in a car. Don’t buy this to be your main rig unless you are a child or a beginner.

Value:
The price on this guitar is PERFECT !!! Because were the price is now it is more affordable. That means more people will buy and play it. For $100 you cannot miss with this guitar. Check latest price.

Desirability:
What could be more sexy than the “Mini Me” of guitars. Plug it in and kick out the jams. This guitar looks like a real strat and actually is a real strat, just smaller. It is a great addition to any setup. This guitar over a lot not only because of its great sound but it has great looks too!!! PS: If you put it in a metallic red it would look even crazier!!!!!! This is a great starting guitar for little fingers – He wish, he had that guitar 15 years ago. He would play better now!

Overall:
Was looking for a smaller electric that would be easier on his back (have a full-size you could anchor a boat with) and easier to travel with. This guitar is no toy, unlike many other mini electrics you see for sale. Easy to play once you adjust to the shorter scale, sounds nice.

This guitar is a must have for any setup. You can put in the trunk of your car along with a battery powered amp or a headphone amp and take it anywhere (work, vacation, the park) to play whenever. I plan to play mine on my lunch hour. The size is perfect.
