		<description>I&#039;ve got this with the quilt maple top (really beautiful, matches some custom guitars&#039; finish), it was a bargain, I bought it in 2006, the retailed thought it was a Standard series, so it was like 35% off : )

It plays very well, though it has a few flaws, good for just jamming, but the pickups&#039; character and colourfulness is very-very far from e.g. the American Deluxe Strat&#039;s ones.
The tremolo is likely to detune the guitar when used, so I blocked mine with a wooden wedge inside.

Still I think that it&#039;s one of the best choices in this price category. It really is a Strat, no doubt about it, and you can&#039;t really get that feeling from anything else but a Fender or this Squier (I&#039;m sceptical about the Affinity series...).</description>
