A bound, carved flame maple top, the revolutionary V.C.C., and deluxe hardware including Grover 18:1 tuner combine to make a truly striking and deluxe guitar. This model marks the return of pearl wing fingerboard inlays to the Washburn line. The set neck allows a slim neck joint and offers comfortable access to the upper register.

Feature:
All the features on these guitars are wonderful. The an everything from the Buzz Feiten Tuning System and Grover tuners, Seymour Duncan pickups, pearl wing inlays, select carved tops, etc. make for a sensational guitar. Though, on the other hand, the VCC system and volume pots are a bit weak. It would have been better if they had just put in push/pull tone knobs to split coils than the VCC controls. Click here for more features!

Quality:
Excellent set up. The WI66 Pro guitars truly are beautiful works of art and amazing to play. Set neck is very comfortable and feels solid. Grover tuners stay in tune well.

Sound:
With a Seymour Duncan ‘59 and an SD Custom you get a wide range of sounds from this guitar from hard rock to a nice clean sound for jazz, really can roar with the bridge pup (three-way switch).

The VCC is a Washburn set up that is a variation on a tap for switching on single-coil. You need to play with it for a while to get the feel, it’s not like the usual push/pull that other guitars have. With this, you can roll on and off to get shades of change in tone. This is so worthies allowing that some people are never convinced with any single-coil tap effect, it has been played live and people are suitably impressed.

Value:
Put it this way – most guys that think Gibson and cant afford it get an Epi. Quite frankly, the set up of this guitar, the quality of pick-ups etc would wipe the floor with any Epi or similar. Don’t even bother thinking about it. It’s a no-brainer really quite. This price compares with higher spec Epi’s but comes with far better hardware than Epi ever offer. Check latest price!

Ease of Use:
The standard of guitar you get for your money means this has to get a 10. You can ignore the VCC option just plug it in and play and this thing will kick your ass!! Nice action with a rosewood fretboard. It has a through-neck which with the cut-away design gives excellent access to the higher frets.

Desirability:
Absolutely!! A Gibson-style guitar, with quality finish and hardware this is something that definitely attracts attention. The combination of its look, sound and the fact that a Washburn guitar is a bit of a rare find over here means the guitar gets a ton of compliments.

The Washburn N2 is a superb guitar with excellent playability and premium features like a Bill Lawrence® L500 bridge pickup & Washburn 600S Floyd Rose® tremolo system.

The N2 is built with an alder both and a natural finish maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, which is loaded with 22 jumbo frets.

Although the N4 remains Nuno’s “main workhorse, the N2s deliver the heart and soul of that design – at a price that more musicians can afford!

Washburn now includes a padded gigbag. For more info click here!

Feature:
This model should have come with Cutaway option. Anything else is OK. Pick-ups are “top performing”, very good tuners, etc.

Quality:
The N2 is well made and not bad for an entry N model. It has had mine for 16 years and is still going strong.

Sound:
Nice sound Bill Lawrence bridge pickup has a very nice tone. it’s sound is good. In the bridge mode it had a good crunch to it. In the middle and neck position it has a good blues and clean sound.

Value:
Worth every penny, great value would expect to pay more. About $700.00 for mine 16 years ago, it would be a good starter. Check latest price! Check used price!

Excellent fret board…just misses “Cutaway”.

Overall:
After all these years, planning to up-grade it (to keep it) and also get a N4

This fullsize LX3PAK Wasburn electric guitar is built for beginner player. With 4 battery AA, you’ll no need additional electricity power.

“This is a pretty decent guitar under $100. I got it for chistmas almost 3 years ago and its still in one piece. I’ve never had any problems with it in the past and it still works well now. Although it is a decent guitar i would only recomend it for practice. It is in no way shape or form a performace guitar, long lasting, rayne

Cons:

“This is actually NOT a Washburn, it’s a “LYON by Washburn”. I bought mine for $88, how could I go wrong? Let me count the ways.

1. It appears that there are minor flaws in every piece of this guitar. It’s my theory that Washburn sends all their material defects to the Lyon factory in China. Well, maybe not, but it’s this type of product association that can ruin a company’s brand.

2. I’ve tweaked every aspect of this guitar…Replaced the pickups with fat-strats. Dressed the frets. Locked down the cheesy trem. Re-soldered all pots and connectors. All these were necessary, and they all had a positive effect but…

3. I’m not sure what wood they used, but it’s very lightweight. There is no mass density to this instrument, therefore no sustain.

This was a good project guitar to figure out how to modify them and work on them. You know, take it apart, put it back together. But as a gigging instrument, it will never, ever do. Unless you’re a guitar-smashing thrash metal wannabe.

If you want something cheap for your non-musician kid as a birthday or Christmas present to see if they have any aptitude or desire, then perhaps it’s good for that. If they do like it, they’ll be asking for a real guitar within a year. “, save your money, get a real instrument, handlon

Pros:

“My mom and I were shopping in Target a couple of months ago and saw that this was on sale for 99 bucks. I looked at it and it promised that there was a lot of accessories included so that you could get started right out of the box. My mom had wanted me to take up an instrument anyway, so she bought it.

I’ve had a great time with it since then. It comes with a demo DVD, an amp, strings, picks, carrying bag, everything (just make sure to look for the stuff in the bag itself–I didn’t and returned it, thinking that some of the stuff hadn’t come with it. The lady at the counter showed me and I was embarassed) you need.

It sounds good; the amp is surprisingly loud. All I needed was a distortion pedal and some chord charts and some free lessons downloaded on the Internet and I was set. I haven’t had a bit of trouble since I got it. “, Big Bang for the Buck, kid

Please note that this guitar is manufactured by Lyon by Washburn, its not actually produced by Washburn. The target market is beginner player, especially for kid. So if you an advanced player you will disappointed.
