Classic 50s appointments: “baseball bat” neck, premium AAA grade flame Maple veneer top and much more. Only 1,959 available worldwide.

The History
Most guitar historians and collectors consider the 1959 Les Paul Standard, the “holy grail” of Les Paul’s – not to mention of all electric guitars. Although the only significant change made in that year was to flatter, wider frets that allowed more dramatic bends, the impact of that change was not truly realized until the 1960′s when countless rock and blues players discovered the magical fat, warm voice and feel of the Les Paul Standard. To commemorate this classic instrument, Epiphone introduces the new Limited Edition “1959″ Les Paul Standard.

Epiphone significantly “steps it up” on this Limited Edition “1959″ reissue. True to it’s heritage, the neck features an authentic, 1950′s rounded neck profile. Often referred to as “the baseball bat”, this neck feels beefy yet comfortable in your hands while adding warmth and sustain with it’s greater mass. Epiphone hand fits this solid Mahogany neck into the body with an historically accurate “deep-set” long neck tenon that extends well into the neck pickup cavity creating even more tone and sustain.

Other unique features of this “1959″ include a Switchcraft brand toggle switch, Mallory-150 tone capacitors, amber “top hat” knobs with metal pointers, nickel hardware, a blank trussrod cover and a “stamped” serial number on the back of the headstock.

Flamed Maple top. 2 humbuckers.

The Les Paul guitar is synonymous with Rock and Roll. No other guitar gives you the power, the sustain and the sound of a Les Paul. If it’s got Les Paul’s signature on the headstock, it’s the real thing… Accept no substitutes! Authorized by Gibson USA!

Feature:
This guitar has everything you need. A full stack of tone and volume controls, dual hum buckers, a set neck and an extremely nice finish. Looks awesome!!

For the price range, the cosmetics are very nice; the color and texture of the cherry flame finish looks really cool! The only minor things that occurred were with the pickup toggle switch and the strap lock post near the neck; these are common problems that occur even with Gibson’s. Both were easily fixed by using epoxy to affix the strap post back in place, and taking off the toggle switch and re-soldering it; both are fine now without any further problems. The pickups are factory stock Gibson PAF’s and they sound great; I’d never replace them unless they went out. You would tested both pickups on an output meter and they were “hot”, peaking at 15; that’s pretty good (and loud) for stock pickups! Click here for more features!

Quality:
The quality of the electronics can be improved on this guitar to level it with competition.
Sounds like a much more expensive guitar. Very clean when distortion is off, sounds really great when heavy distortion is on. Great with effects, sounds better than indie’s, rock, fenders.

Sound:
It sounds pretty good right out of the box, but the suggestion may you would strongly replacing the strings and taking it for a professional setup, it makes a big difference. The wood is great, and you can get good tone from it, there are better Les Paul, with better wood and pickups for more money, but this should satisfy all players who don’t have extra money to throw around. Your guitar teacher will very impress with this guitar.

Value:
Best guitar on the market for the money. Well worth the price compared to Gibson Les Paul. Check latest price!

Desirability:
Everyone who sees this baby wants to pick up and play it. Cause this is beautiful color (Wine Red), excellent finish.

Ease of Use:
This guitar is very playable it has a great action on it and the neck is perfect. It’s easy to get great sounds. But for beginners so a little hard work because once you’ve tried this you can’t adapt to crappy guitars.

Overall:
Great guitar, good price, nice craftsmanship, good sound, good looks, and for having fun!!! Playing in a band a little more serious about your music get the real Epiphone Les Pauls sound good look good can’t go wrong with them!

2 humbuckers. Maple top.

If you can handle everything about the Les Paul except the price, check this out. Engineers designed this modern classic with the arched top and fast neck of the best Les Pauls. It has an arched, figured curly Maple, carved top in faded sunburst finishes for that great LP look. And like all Les Pauls, features a solid glued neck joint for great sustain and stability. These guitars are built to 100% Gibson specifications. Since 1910 Epiphone has been building quality instruments and this Les Paul Standard will only enhance their great reputation. More Info!

Feature:
The features of this instrument are really good also the toggle witch from Trebble to Rythym and combination is a great feature that fits well with many styles. The hardware and components are perfect, nothing is wrong with it. It included a gator case which is worth about 120 bucks. It also included a free cord. Click here for more feature!

Quality:
This guitar is great, but has notice two things. First, the pickup switch seems cheap; it wiggles from side to side as well as up and down. Second, under the bridge, the varnish didn’t get applied there, and might you feel and see bare wood. Other than that, this guitar is great.

Sound:
Incredible sound!, the pickups are great, it has a lot better sustain than others. Being an epiphone, it still delivers that thick, gritty, heavy metal sound you expect from a les paul. Ability to play a lot of southern rock and hard rock and it able fits them both. The rhythm is nice for more bluesy sounding

Value:
For the price you can’t go wrong. This guitar is definitely worth the price, but the Les Paul 100 is just as good for eight hundred dollars. The price of everything on this site is so low. Click here for latest price!

Ease of Use:
It was very easy to get great sounds. Just turn it on and you will fall in love with it. Treble or rhythm whatever fits you. It is perfect for your personal taste of metal/ modern rock. Tone controls help to modify to your liking. Extremely playable axe that is very forgiving and the raised bridge makes it a breeze for soloing.

Desirability:
This guitar looks really good. The top is the best. Although it needed to be waxed, it is a good look. The wood grain and color on the actual guitar is 1,000 times better than the website does justice to it.

Overall:
This is a great buy for anyone interested in getting a Les Paul, This is amazing guitar for its price sounds good. Its looks great, plays amazingly!, has a real down and clear tone and is well built.

Feature:
Every part is defiantly used but there is not a bunch of features for this guitar. The pick ups were nice and the looks and the finish of the guitar were very good. The only things you can think of to add to this guitar are coil taps, a phase switch, and neck binding. But all of that would change the vintage vibe and raise the price so its probably best as it is. Check Price.

Quality:
This guitar is amazing!!! Best paint job for epiphone. The finish, etc were very good. Better in some respects than the Mexican made Fenders. The build quality of this guitar is astounding! The pictures you see of these do not do justice to the finish. It is absolutely gorgeous.

The rosewood on the fretboard even has a little figuring to it, and looks FAR better than Korean made Agile. There is a pinhead sized spot on the bottom of the body where there must have been a tiny air bubble. This is absolutely the best looking guitar for the money.

Sound:
The sound is great. It strange that this model felt and sounded better than the Tony Iommi signature model and yet costing about half of what the Tony Iommi model cost. The G400 model is made solid and is quite impressive sounding as well as nice looking.

The pick ups had a nice bite to them in drive mode and yet when you played both pick ups through your old Ibanez chorus it sounded nice and full without being muddy.

The SG has a different tone than other similar guitars, and it takes a little getting used to. The sweet spots are in different places than other guitars for the neck pickup, due to it being a little further back from the fretboard than a Les Paul or others.

Maybe that’s why some have complained about the pickups because this guitar sounds EXACTLY as it should. Even tried other pickups and they did not have the pick sensitivity or the vintage tone, or especially the low-end balls that the stock ones do.

Ease of Use:
This is a nice thin guitar that sits well in your lap. Epiphones necks be a little on the thick side (except the Casino/Sheraton/dot models) for your hands.

Value:
This is THE biggest bang for your buck. No doubt, a great value for it being a second guitar on stage or very good first guitar that won’t find its way to traded in for a long time. Check latest price.

Desirability:
This guitar looks amazing!!!

Overall:
Overall this is an amazing deal on a quality guitar that plays well and has a true vintage vibe and tone. The quality guitar to bring to the gigs if the weather is too cold or to hot and humid for Gibson Les Paul is exposed too.

Rosewood Fingerboard. Alder body.

A rock and roll classic, the double neck guitar! Featuring 4 Humbuckers and 18 strings you can be the envy of all your friends without exactly breaking the bank.

Feature:
As good components as any higher-end model. Pickups were very responsive, low noise on the 12 side, which was nice. 3, Three-way switches (when the Gibson only has 2{which, in my experience, are the wrong way round}.

The extra selector switch that the Gibson model doesn’t have is really great for switching necks in the middle of a song if you want to use a different pickup, like if you want to use a treble pickup for a chord song but then use a rhythm pickup for a tasty solo.

Quality:
The guitar is great. The finish is perfect, and, with the purchase of strap locks, you’ll never worry about it getting broken. Good except their is a line down the middle of body of guitar where the grain of wood is mismatched close up it ruins overall good quality, bet a Gibson wouldn’t have that problem, tuners are sloppy and need constant attention, junk pickups, junk tuners heavy strings.

Sound:
The sound on the 12 string neck is clear and jangly – perfect for that vintage page-like tone. The 6-string is excellent for great sweeping solos and punchy rock n roll riffs. It’s really awesome for overdriven tones. The sound was much better than the old plywood model. Action way to high ridiculous, hard to play 6 strings are heavy gauge, pickups the worst need replacement no power or tone. Replace pickups a must Gibson, burst bucker or Seymour Duncan’s what the purpose of them saying guitar is set up with such high action everything must be reset fix these things it might have great sound.

Ease of Use:
It’s hard if you don’t have long arms, and it can get a bit heavy, yet very comfortable to play

Once you’ve mastered the technique this instrument is extremely fun to play.

Value:
Absolutely this is a good price for the guitar no compromise in quality definitely worth the money. It needs to be in the thousands! Check Latest Price.

Desirability:
Very attractive look and just the same Epiphone style all round great. It is dead sexy with time and good parts plus set up it is still cheaper than Gibson and might be good.

Overall:
The only thing you could want after this is the real Gibson version. With really good pickups tuners and strings and completely resetting all action

The Epiphone G310 is an SG-styled electric guitar at a fantastic price. The G310 has an Alder body, which contributes to its bright tone. The twin open coil humbucker pickups make for great sustain and high gain lead and rhythm sounds. Other features include a bolt-on mahogany neck with a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard, chrome hardware and dual volume and tone controls.

Features:
The best features of this guitar are the very slim neck, the dot inlays, and the four tone and volume knobs. Also the lead and rhythm switch which gives you a good punchy sound for the lead and a warmer, softer yet distinguishable rythm setting.

Quality:
Shows fingerprints easy but hard to scratch. The problem is that the hole your plug the amp cord into keeps falling in and to take it apart. Everything works, but things come loose. Had trouble with the cable jack coming loose and falling into the guitar. Also, knobs can come loose and need to be adjusted. The nut is not bad and not great. Check Latest Price.

Sound:
The overall style and sound rivals that of a real Gibson SG. It’s really worth the price. Sounds good not much difference between the 2 pickups though. If you’re looking for an AC/DC type sound this guitar is perfect. It sounds just as good as the Gibson SG. Don’t be confused by the name on guitars buy one you can afford and play and get good that way one day you can be making money off playing and you can buy any guitar you want to.

Ease of Use:
This guitar is very easy to use. It feels good in your hands with the ultra slim neck, its very light weight, and its components do not get in the way of your playing. It has good action and is very comfortable to play. Best all no strings to turn around.

Like any guitar, it takes some adjusting to get it exactly how you want it. The bridge was a bit to low and was getting buzz on the first fret. After adjusted the height it worked perfectly.

Value:
Definitely. For $214 it is a great guitar. This guitar was definitely a great value. You can always upgrade it.

Desirability:
Its a good looking guitar (hard to tell the difference between it and a Gibson as far as looks). You can’t really tell any difference look wise between this one and a Gibson.

Overall:
If you want a great guitar for a low price, this one is it. Mega boom for you’re buck

Epiphone announces the introduction of the new Epiphone “Goth” Collection. Based upon Gibson’s very successful “Gothic” line, the Epiphone Goth Collection features a Les Paul Studio, G-400, Flying-V, and Explorer all with Satin-Black finish and Black hardware for an absolutely wicked look. Add to that, a Roman numeral “XII” inlay on the 12th fret, a Celtic Cross on the headstock, and ’57 Classic alnico-v exposed-coil humbuckers, and you’ve got guitars guaranteed to “wake the dead!” Each model features Epiphone’s Limited Lifetime warranty.

Since 1873, Epiphone has been producing fine musical instruments including guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins, amplifiers, and accessories.

Feature:
The tone knobs are pretty useless, but do you really use them? They do little difference but the three channel toggle does it all for ya, from killer leads to super smooth rhythms for blues.

Quality:
Its really sturdy. Its neck-through, so its a lot more durable than the Gibson. They may be neck through too, but the necks on Gibson’s are super fragile. Ever dropped this axe on concrete and it never went out of tune and don’t use a Floyd rose. It’s really.

Sound:
Love the way this thing sounds. The humbuckers really play their part in this one. The best thing for doom metal.

Here’s the Vintage guitar you’re not afraid to play every day! Epiphone’s SG-shaped Vintage G-400 has the well-worn look and feel of a favorite guitar. It’s Worn finish showcases the wood grain (similar to Gibson’s popular Faded series). The Vintage Series’ well-traveled look has another advantage when it comes to maintenance: The satin finish and ‘aged’ inlays on the fingerboard require less cosmetic care than guitars with a glossy finish and new-looking inlays. The G-400 has a one-piece neck with super satin finish, humbucker pickups, chrome hardware and tune-o-matic bridge

Feature:
Design is very nice and quality used components like humbuckers or very pretty wood-mahagon. But the mark is 9, because the head of this guitar is too heavy and when you play guitar is falling down, because of this head. 2 volumes, 2 tones, selector, It’s nice having a tone and volume pot for each pickup. The lack of tremolo arm is also slightly limiting. Mine was the worn cherry color and the accessories are great. The humbuckers sound great and the Grover’s work well. Its a shame there’s no whammy bar. Grover tuners a 57 classic hb, set neck, all mahogany, neck binding, and trapezoid inlays…..all these things make the looks and sound of this guitar kick ass.

Quality:
It is finished to a high standard, there was a paint blemish on mine, but that’s not really a big deal. All the components seem to be of a high quality and nothing has broken yet. Its fairly weighty compared to other cheaper guitars which clearly shows the quality of the wood. Everything put together great neck is really smooth and not “sticky feeling” like some guitars. Very sturdy. It is made great from what I’ve heard it doesn’t break at all for the most part. It is made with great quality.

Top notch. Had to tighten the jack retaining nut about 1 1/2 threads, but that wasn’t too bad. The set-up of the guitar was perfect. Intonation was spot on right out of the box. The finish was of a quality of a guitar 3 to 4 times the cost of this item.

Sound:
The sound is equal to the LPs in the same setup. Sounds are good for pretty much anything. Through many amps its sound is awesome. With this guitar you get great sustain, volume, distortion, and clean sound. Only sound problem was when did bend B or high E string above the tenth fret. This was easily fixed by slightly raising the bridge. Pretty much what you’d expect from an SG. Sounds great clean and full and crunchy on overdrive. Excellent for Rock and Metal or anything that needs a crisp, full tone.

Ease of Use:
Its a guitar, and as far as the controls(two volume, two tone) they made it to where you can get any sound out of the guitar, but kept it simple enough to where anyone can figure it out(unlike the fender jaguar HH) vintage g-400 compares easily to the Gibson SG special faded. it’s pretty easy to use compared some guitars. The neck is very natural and comfortable however you will notice that it is neck heavy. this is really annoying for a few days but then you get used to it and it’s fine. Having the full 22 fret access is makes soloing a lot more comfortable. The Grover tuners are excellent; you can trust them to stay in tune.

Value :
Great value. Feels like a Gibson. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. In short, its the best, next and closest thing to a real Gibson SG, so in terms of value, its damn good. Check Latest Price.

Desirability:
Very sexy guitar and so hot!. It can make anyone look cool on stage. When you show it to people, they automatically say “wow” that must have cost loads!”
This thing looks great with the binding, finish, inlays, hell everything about is amazing. This guitar was actually better sounding that a Gibson! So yeah, this is an excellent guitar, and is particularly good if you wanna get that nice 1976 dead boys sound. Excellent guitar for the price.

Overall:
Amazing guitar. Yeah, over all, its a good deal, the guitar never breaks or anything, so all your thrasher guitarists that want a SG, this is the one to get. Think about this, Chino, the singer/guitarist for the band Deft ones, played a G-400 for the whole Ooziest tour in ’99, if a professional artist played one for a whole tour, this is a well kept secret of a guitar, if you know what the mean. It’s the best sounding guitar.
